· Agite y Sirva Screendance Award 2016, aimed at Mexican artists
For the third time, thanks to the support of the Coordinación Nacional de Danza of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Red Nacional de Festivales de Danza, the Agite y Sirva Festival will give the Agite y Sirva Screendance Award 2016, which is aimed at Mexican artists and co-creators, and it consists of a First Prize of MX$12,000 (US$900 – €660), a Second Prize of MX$8,000 (US$600 – €440) and a Third Prize of MX$6,000 (US$450 – €330). The works will be evaluated by an international jury, who could declare desert any of the three prizes.
In addition, our sponsor R7D –rentauna7d.com-, will give a filmmaking package deal of MX$6,000 to the First Prize and two filmmaking package deals of MX$2,000 to the Second Prize and the Third Prize.
Also as every year, we will release the Official Selection Agite y Sirva 2016 of international screendance works. The selected and awarded works will be part of the Agite y Sirva Festival 2016’s touring program in Mexico and abroad.
The deadline for screendance works reception is February 15th, 2016.
The Official Selection will be announced on March 15th, 2016.
Only selected authors or representatives must send the following to fest@agiteysirva.com at the latest on March 25th, 2016:
· 2 still photos of the work (min. 300 dpi), and
· 1 copy of the work.
The Agite y Sirva Screendance Award’s results will be announced on April 15th, 2016.
